Historic Resource Assessments

Historic Resource Assessments provide a detailed analysis of a property’s historic significance and potential eligibility for listing in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP), a state historic register of historic places (i.e. the Nevada State Register of Historic Places), or a local historic register (i.e the Las Vegas Historic Property Register),  a description of current physical conditions, current usage, identifies threats and recommends rehabilitation measures and proper maintenance.

Grant funding plays a vital role in advancing historic preservation projects across Las Vegas and Southern Nevada. With extensive experience preparing successful proposals for federal, state, and local programs, we help clients identify funding opportunities and craft compelling, competitive applications that bring preservation goals to life.

Historic Resource Surveys & Effects Assessments

Historic Resources Surveys and Effects Assessments are regulatory permitting documents that involve several steps, a methodology, survey, and impact assessment, often followed up by a mitigation plan. These are required for undertakings or certain projects that require government funding or permits.

Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits

Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits involve three stages of review by the SHPO and NPS that ultimately enable property owners to utilize a 20% federal tax credit on qualified expenses, coupled with a state tax credit where available (Nevada does not have a state historic tax credit).

On-Call Services

On-call Services include advice on preservation matters that don’t involve the preparation of large reports or field investigations. This work might consist of writing letters to SHPOs or municipalities, researching on behalf of a client, providing document review services, or other non-specified consultation assistance.
